The beach of Santa Severa is located approx. 25 Km from lacastellina15 along a very scenic and traffic-free road. The beaches to the south of Pirgy Castle, which characterizes the coast making it unique on this stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast, are black as evidence of the volcanic origin of the whole area. Nearby in the direction of Rome is the Regional Natural Reserve of Macchiatonda, a protected WWF area of considerable fauna.
